Flower Show at Semmozhi Poonga, Chennai, to Begin on January 

Chennai, January 2, 2025: Chennai’s Semmozhi Poonga will showcase a vibrant flower exhibition from January 2 to January 11, 2025. The show was inaugurated by Chief Minister MK Stalin, marking the beginning of this annual floral extravaganza. Agriculture Minister MRK Panneerselvam shared details about the event, revealing that over 50 varieties of flowers, arranged in thousands of pots, will be on display. These flowers have been sourced from renowned hill stations like Ooty, Yercaud, Kodaikanal, and Krishnagiri.

The floral arrangements are expected to feature stunning shapes and designs, including elephants, peacocks, and swans, creating an enchanting atmosphere for visitors. This event, which started in 2022, has quickly gained popularity, with more than 1.1 lakh visitors attending the show in 2023.

The flower show is a ticketed event, with a nominal fee for entry. Additionally, the government is working on a project to connect the Kalaignar Centenary Park to Semmozhi Poonga through a bridge, making it more accessible for the public.
