Government Allocates ₹338 Crore for Flood Prevention in the City

Officials confirmed that the fund will be utilized for modernizing water channels, strengthening embankments, and installing advanced flood monitoring systems to ensure better preparedness.

 

Key Measures Under the ₹338 Crore Plan

✅ Stormwater Management: Construction of new stormwater drains and retention basins to prevent waterlogging.

 

✅ Flood Barriers & Embankments: Strengthening vulnerable areas to prevent flooding in low-lying regions.

 

✅ Early Warning Systems: Installation of automated flood monitoring and alert systems for real-time tracking.
