NTK Chief Seeman Reacts to AIADMK Alliance Offer, Reaffirms Opposition to DMK-BJP

Naam Tamilar Katchi leader says "Let's wait and see" on alliance talks, rules out support for DMK or BJP

Seeman on AIADMK Alliance Offer: “Let’s Wait and See”, Reiterates NTK’s Stand Against DMK & BJP

📍 Chennai, Tamil Nadu | July 21, 2025

Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief Seeman has responded with cautious optimism to the AIADMK’s informal invitation for a political alliance ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections. When asked about the prospect of joining hands with AIADMK, Seeman simply replied, “Let’s wait and see.”

🗣️ Clear Stand Against DMK and BJP

While not committing to an alliance with AIADMK, **Seeman reaffirmed NTK’s unwavering stand against both the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). “There is no question of supporting either DMK or BJP. Both have failed the people of Tamil Nadu,” he declared.

🤝 Alliance Talks in the Air

Though no formal talks have taken place, political analysts believe the AIADMK’s move to extend feelers toward NTK is part of a broader opposition realignment effort ahead of 2026. The AIADMK, which has been facing internal leadership challenges, is reportedly keen to consolidate anti-DMK votes.

📊 NTK’s Growing Base Among Youth and First-Time Voters

Seeman’s Naam Tamilar Katchi has seen rising support among young voters and first-time electorates, especially in urban and semi-urban constituencies. This makes NTK a potential vote splitter or kingmaker in closely contested seats.

🏛️ No Compromise on Ideology, Says Seeman

Despite alliance buzz, Seeman made it clear that NTK will not compromise on its core Tamil nationalist ideology. “Any decision we take will be in the interest of Tamil people and their self-respect,” he told reporters at a press meet in Chennai.

🕊️ Call for a Tamil-Centric Political Alternative

Seeman emphasized the need for a “Tamil-only political narrative” that excludes national parties and focuses on local governance, cultural identity, and economic self-reliance. “The future lies in building Tamil Nadu through Tamil voices,” he added.

🗓️ Next Few Months Crucial for Pre-Poll Strategies

With state elections due in early 2026, parties are now actively exploring possible coalitions. NTK’s next moves will be closely watched by both regional and national players, especially as anti-DMK sentiment grows in parts of the state.
