In the aftermath of the catastrophic Air India plane crash that claimed over 260 lives, Ramesh Vishwas, the sole survivor, has shared a harrowing account of the tragedy. Seated in 11A, Vishwas miraculously survived the crash and is currently receiving treatment at a city hospital.
“I truly believed I was going to die. Everything unfolded right in front of my eyes. It was all darkness — absolute darkness. When I finally opened my eyes, I couldn’t believe I was alive. I kept asking myself how I managed to survive that,” he recalled.
Vishwas’s voice trembled as he described the moment the aircraft violently shook and the chaos that followed. His account offers the first direct insight into the disaster’s immediate impact from inside the aircraft.
🏥 Hospital Confirms Stable Condition
Hospital authorities have confirmed that Ramesh Vishwas is stable but under continuous observation. Doctors describe his survival as “nothing short of a miracle,” given the wreckage condition of the aircraft.

The crash, which occurred shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, has shaken the nation. Aviation authorities, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and a central investigative team are working to determine the cause of the crash.
Initial reports suggest a possible technical failure, but black box recovery and further forensics are underway.
