🚨 Indian Army Foils Drone Infiltration Attempt, Neutralises Over 50 Pakistani Drones
In one of the largest drone defence operations in recent history, the Indian Army successfully intercepted and destroyed more than 50 drones launched from Pakistan. The counter-drone mission was launched after radar surveillance detected a series of suspicious aerial objects entering Indian airspace across Punjab and Jammu regions.
🛡️ Coordinated Response by Indian Forces
As per official sources, the Indian Army, in coordination with the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Border Security Force (BSF), executed a rapid and precise anti-drone protocol. Advanced jamming systems, radar-guided interceptors, and sniper units were deployed along strategic border zones.
The drones, reportedly equipped for surveillance and arms delivery, were brought down with zero collateral damage.
📍 Drones Detected Across Multiple Sectors
The drone activity was reported across Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Samba, and Poonch districts, raising immediate concerns of cross-border provocation. Most of the drones were small commercial variants, allegedly modified for reconnaissance and potential arms drops. Security forces intercepted them between midnight and 4 AM, preventing any payload from being delivered.
🧠 Drone Threat Linked to Terrorist Networks
Intelligence officials have indicated that the drone wave is linked to terrorist sleeper cells operating across the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) border. This comes days after India conducted Operation Sindoor, targeting major terrorist hideouts in Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad, and Kotli.
This retaliation may be part of Pakistan’s asymmetric warfare tactics involving unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
🧭 Army Increases Drone Surveillance Measures
Following the incident, the Indian Defence Ministry has instructed all border posts to be on 24/7 drone watch, with additional deployment of anti-drone squads. Mobile anti-air defence platforms are also being repositioned along high-risk zones.
A full audit of the destroyed drones is currently underway to trace their origin and programming paths.
