
Mahavir Jayanti Marked with Service to Humanity
To commemorate Lord Mahavir’s 2624th Janma Kalyanak, a free eye checkup camp was held on April 10, 2025, at Mahavir Bhavan, Ayanavaram. The initiative was led by Mahavir International Chennai Metro, in collaboration with Shri Jain Medical Relief Society, under the aegis of Shri Jain Mahasangh, Chennai.
Over 200 Eye Screenings Conducted
The event witnessed overwhelming participation, with more than 200 individuals receiving professional eye examinations. Those diagnosed with cataracts will undergo free cataract surgeries at partner medical centers in the coming weeks.
Jain Mahasangh Promotes Selfless Community Service
This camp was promoted by Jain Mahasangh, which plays a pivotal role in uniting the community for humanitarian efforts. Their vision of seva (selfless service) was at the heart of this noble event.

The event was led by Gyan Chand Kothari, Dilip Mehta, Mukesh Chatur, with ongoing support from DCS NEWS Director DC JAIN, and his friend Sachin jain who holds twelve such eye camps annually.

An important contributor to the event was DC JAIN, Director of DCS NEWS, who actively supports six free eye camps annually. His ongoing commitment to healthcare access has benefitted hundreds across the region.
