In a significant employment initiative, the Modi government distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates across various central government departments and public sector undertakings.

Addressing the recruits virtually, PM Modi emphasized the importance of youth participation in India’s economic progress. He reiterated that both public and private sector employment opportunities are a top priority in the government’s long-term vision.

“We are building a nation where the youth is empowered with jobs, skills, and a strong future,” the Prime Minister stated.

The Rozgar Mela, a national employment initiative launched in October 2022, aims to fill 10 lakh vacancies across various ministries and departments. The current distribution event took place across multiple states, showing consistent progress toward that target.

This initiative reflects the government’s intent to tackle the rising need for job creation amid ongoing economic recovery post-pandemic.

🌞 India’s Solar Power Capacity Grows by 4,000%

In a parallel announcement, Union Minister Piyush Goyal revealed that India’s solar power capacity has surged by over 4,000%, a testament to the country’s aggressive push toward sustainable energy.

According to Goyal, the country has emerged as a global leader in solar energy production, drastically reducing dependence on imported fossil fuels and increasing domestic energy self-reliance.

Green Energy: Driving Economic and Environmental Impact

The exponential growth in solar capacity is seen as a critical step toward achieving India’s net-zero emissions goal by 2070. Goyal highlighted that solar power projects have not only helped cut carbon emissions but have also created new jobs in the renewable energy sector.

“Clean energy is the future, and India is not just following — we are leading,” said Piyush Goyal during a press interaction in New Delhi.
